Established in 1969 and based in the US, the Project Management Institute (PMI) is a global not-for-profit project management professional association, with nearly 500,000 members worldwide. The website includes definitions of project management, weblinks to project management associations around the world as well as an online bookstore, jobs and details of events. Parts of the website are restricted to members.

Project Manager Today is published 10 times a year and is available online and as a paper-based package on subscription. The website provides news, a job finder and an online bookstore. It also includes an archive of articles from the magazine.

PM Forum’s mission is to use the internet to provide a forum for the promotion and exchange of project management information and knowledge worldwide. Some of the main features on the website include a calendar of events, Project Management World Today magazine full-text articles and news, a large database of suppliers, details of PM organisations from around the world, as well as many useful weblinks.
