i-FM: The online resource for facilities professionals

This US-based website aims to provide an online information resource to the contingency planning and crisis management community. The website contains a large number of articles related to disaster recovery including topics on planning and risk assessment. It also allows you to search for suppliers and specialists, though this information is largely US-based.

The Business Continuity Institute (BCI) was established in 1994 to enable members to obtain guidance and support from fellow business continuity practitioners. Through its Certification Scheme, the Institute provides internationally recognised status to its members. The BCI currently has 4800 members in 85 countries. Not a great deal of free information but there are links to purchase best practice guides and reports, as well as to find out more about becoming certified.

Continuity Central aims to provide a one-stop resource of business continuity news and information from across the UK and the rest of the world. A large number of news items, reports and magazine articles are available to view for free. The site also provides guidance and resources for professionals attempting to understand and plan for business continuity and disaster recovery.
