i-FM: The online resource for facilities professionals

The UK Government’s Disability Unit aims to help disabled people understand their rights and to learn more about the legislation that exists to provide fully comprehensive and enforceable civil rights for disabled people in the UK. The site contains a large amount of free information, including detailed explanations of the Disability Discrimination Act and the Disability Rights Commission Act

The Disabled Persons Transport Advisory Committee (DPTAC) is an independent body established by the Transport Act 1985 to advise UK Government on the transport needs of disabled people. The website provides information on who DPTAC are and what DPTAC does in its role in advising the Government on transport and the built environment.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission is working to eliminate discrimination; reduce inequality; protect human rights and to build good relations, ensuring that everyone has a fair chance to participate in society. The commission comprises several further commissions - the Equal Opportunities Commission, the Commission for Racial Equality, and the Disability Rights Commission. There are a large number of downloadable publications with plenty of information and good practice advice for employers and facilities managers.
