Mike Liddle, Managing Director - Business and Facility Solutions

An engineer by background, Mike started his career with National Coal Board Management Training and Engineering in 1966 before becoming a hospital engineer in 1972. Between 1978 and 1989, Mike was head of Facilities and Project Management Europe and Africa at Syntex Pharmaceuticals.

In 1989 he was appointed head for facilities management at Credit Suisse First Boston. Two years later Mike became managing director of the Independent Facility Management Company (also owner of Mass CAFM), which was later sold to Tarmac Professional Services.

Mike was made managing director of Business and Facility Solutions, his current position, in 1998. He is responsible for the running of the business, which re-sells Peregrine Systems software products and provides facilities management consultancy services.

He is a founder member of the European Intelligent Buildings Group and was recently elected UK President of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA).

A LITTLE KNOWN FACT:

Mike has been a member of the United Reformed Church in Maidenhead and recently as Head of the Administration Committee he introduced the group to Ecclesiastical facilities management.
