Higher education in FM spans the range from Bachelor's degrees, through postgraduate diplomas, to Master's programmes. A number have achieved BIFM accreditation, which assures students that they will satisfy the academic requirements for Institute membership. This does not necessarily imply anything about the quality of the other programmes, however.
Candidates will want to consider course content and location in light of their own needs. It may also be worth asking about commitment for the future. In updating our listings recently, we found that nine universities had discontinued FM programmes due to a mix of demand and cost considerations.
